We understand that recent news about increased import duties to the United States has caused concern and uncertainty within the community. Fortunately, we can offer some reassurance.
The Trump Administration had decided classic vehicles that are 25 years or older remain exempt from the newly proposed 25% import tariff on cars entering the U.S. For these vehicles, the standard import duty of 2.5% will continue to apply.
This decision provides much-needed clarity and peace of mind for anyone involved in collecting, restoring, or trading historic vehicles.
It is expected, however, that the European Union may respond with countermeasures. As soon as more information becomes available, we will keep you informed via our newsletter.
